Noises and Samples
back
New samples (09/01): Piano sounds [1.1MB] for AOL Instant Messenger.
I've had fun sampling weird noises. Shawn had the idea for the most recent one, making samples of ping pong.
I have ppong.zip [1.81MB] of noises we sampled. I'm using these as my IM noises
right now:
Before that, I had a big bunch of really freezer-burned ice (the kind you get in a bag.) I wanted to get rid of it,
but it started making such cool sounds as I was smashing it, I sampled it and made the
icecrunch.zip [567 KB].
Also, I got a sampler from Moe Doucet, who used to work at a company doing VR for the military. They had
sampled all these crazy tanks and M-60s and mortars, and the sounds are pretty neat. I transferred them
to the computer, and they're all here [misc MP3] for you to download.
A long time ago (this is like four years ago), well, I don't really have an explanation for this one: tarp.mp3,
a recording of Jeremy saying "Tarpy".
